Title: Logging Off
Where can I get this book? You can find this at Bookshop.org (You can select an independent bookstore of your choice to support too!)
I feel like this book is such a great example of social media consumption right now.
What is the book about?
The main character of the book is called Andy Bellows and he is an internet addict. He turns up to a presentation for a job, where he notices his health is deteriorating and making him struggle in the real world.
Andy goes to the doctors where he is told that he needs a digital detox. He is not keen on this idea at all, but has to persevere if he wants to remain healthy.
You then follow Andy’s journey with his digital detox, through his struggles, funny stories and progress.
Did I enjoy the book?
I thought that this book was such an enjoyable read but also very eye opening to the amount of internet consumption we have. It really makes you aware of how much we rely on the internet for things like Uber, Deliveroo, Hue lighting, social media, Google Maps, Google search..
I feel like this was a really inspiring read and I hope that a lot of people take the time to read this book once it comes out. There are a lot of small funny stories throughout the book, but I feel like the digital detox message has really stuck in my mind since reading this.
Can I buy the book now?
Yes! It is now available at Bookshop. It is also crazy cheap right now on Kindle, so definitely snap it up!
