How to break your new shoes in FAST

So, as much as we all love the newest shoe trends that are flying about, the only thing that puts me off is the whole ‘Are they going to be comfy? Will I have to break them in for ages?’ Until I did a little research here and there..

I recently got given some of the most incredible shoes from Irregular Choice by my brother and his girlfriend. These are from their Star Wars Collection and I had the C-3PO pair and then I went back and bought the Darth Vader set too (they were at an outlet in America for a crazy, ridiculous price!).

So far, I have only stretched out the Darth Vader pair yet but I will get onto doing the both very swiftly.

What did I do?
To start off, I put on some thick socks and then put my shoes on (I won’t be wearing these with socks apart from the footsie ones, but these are to stretch out the shoe).
I then got my hairdryer and set it to a medium heat setting and focused on the front of my shoe for 30-60 seconds. Whilst doing this, I started to wiggle my toes around in the shoe to really mould the shape of the flexibility I will need. As the shoes cool down, they naturally mould to your foot and voila!

I also did the same to the back of my shoe as they were a little too pointed together, if that makes sense? Like when the back of the shoe is pinched together? I did this around them again for 30 seconds, walked around the room whilst they cooled down and the right shoe fits so much better than before!

In the meantime, I am going to get some of the heel gel pads to fit on the back of my shoe to stop them sliding off (if they need it) but at the moment, they are fitting much better! I might fit around the rim of my shoes some mole skin roll to prevent further rubbing, if needed!

It’s as simple as that, I don’t need to go any further on this – try it for yourself and let me know how you get on.
Do you know any ‘life hacks’ when it comes to breaking in shoes, or anything else? I would love to hear your tips and tricks!
Who doesn’t need life hacks, right?!

    1. Hey Catriona! Thank you so much for the lovely comment 😀
It was in Orlando at the Disney Character Warehouse, they were all down to $20 a pair, so I had to get them both! x

Let me know what you think!
