That’s right, you read it right. Toughest Disney Tag. It’s gonna be a tough one..
Rules are as follows:
– For the Toughest Disney Tag, you can only answer each question with ONE answer. No multiples! For example, if asked who your favourite character is, don’t answer with “Alice and Peter Pan”. You gotta choose ONLY ONE! (This is what’s gonna make it tough, you see… muahaha…)
– All answers must, of course, be Disney-related, but you can choose items from franchises owned by Disney i.e PIXAR, Star Wars, Marvel etc.
– Once you’re done, copy/paste the questions and tag some friends to challenge them too!
– EXTRA CHALLENGE: for extra pressure, time yourself and post the amount of time it took to complete this tag. Something tells me it won’t be quick!
So, without further ado, let’s begin…
Q1. Who is your all-time favourite Disney animator, and why
This is so tough! I would say Glen Keane as he has created so many breathtakingly beautiful films such as my favourite Pocahontas. He has also animated Ariel, Rapunzel and The Beast.
Q2. What Disney era is your all-time favourite, and why? (i.e Golden Age, Renaissance etc.)
Ugh this is so hard already! I want to say The Golden Age as this is where it really kicked off and they overcame so many hurdles in the animation industry. BUT, for my answer I will have to go with The Silver Age. This is the era that Sleeping Beauty, The Sword In The Stone, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Alice In Wonderland and so many more were created. Here is where I felt that the Disney Animation Studios were becoming so strong, just before the death of Walt Disney.
Q3. If Walt Disney were alive and you were allowed to ask him ONE question, but ONE question only, what would you ask him?
“How do you feel about Disney having Starbucks, Star Wars and Marvel in the parks?”
Q4. Who is your all-time favourite Disney director, and why?
John Musker and Ron Clements as a team. I saw them recently at D23 and it really shows what lovely guys they are with a great sense of humour! They had the task of ‘reviving’ 2D animated film and they blew it out of the water with Princess and the Frog. It is such an incredibly underrated film and will always have a place in my heart. Then there’s The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Great Mouse Detective (first animated movie to have CG in), The Black Cauldron (which I love!) and the gigantic Moana. They really can smash out anything and turn it into a huge success!
Q5. What is your all-time favourite Disney song, and why?
“Colours of the Wind” from Pocahontas. Not only is it my favourite film, the soundtrack is so incredibly beautiful throughout. And hey, Pocahontas has some valid points in this song too!
Q6. If you were forced to erase ONE Disney movie from history, which would you pick, and why?
Planes. In all honesty, I still haven’t seen this one but the trailer was enough. I just thought that they have literally copied the Cars concept and put it onto Planes. Then what shall we call it?.. Planes.
Q7. Which Disney Park from around the world is your all-time favourite, and what makes it stand out from the others to you?
Is there any other answer possible? It always has to be Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. This is the most magical park that provides you with so many incredible memories. Even if half of them are me tearing up to Wishes every evening!
Q8. You have only 30mins to spend in Disneyland before you’re magically whisked back home by a portal. What do you do with that time?
I would definitely take a walk down Main Street USA, taking all of the scents and sights in. Seeing the kids faces light up when they receive a Mickey balloon, find their favourite character or receiving a Magical Moment from a cast member. Then I would hop on over to Splash Mountain as that is my all time favourite ride. It is so beautiful, the craftsmanship is incredible on that ride and hey, it’s Song Of The South!
Q9. You get to choose ONE Disney heroine to join the official line of Disney Princesses. Who do you choose and why?
I would probably choose Eilonwy from The Black Cauldron. This film is so underrated and I know it wasn’t successful when released but this is such a stand out film from my childhood. Also, The Black Cauldron characters are all Welsh – so represent!
Eilonwy does so much to help out others and is a true problem solver. She deserves more credit!
Q10. Speaking of Disney Princesses… One will need to be demoted from the franchise to replace with the new heroine. Which existing princess would you remove from the franchise, and why?
I would say Jasmine (sorry world!). I didn’t connect with Aladdin when I was younger and now that I’m older I appreciate it much more! But as it wasn’t until I grew up, I don’t really care for Jasmine as much as I should! Sorry Jasmine.. but come on, who let’s boys climb through their window at night and take them on a carpet ride? Stranger danger!
Q11. What is your all-time favourite under-rated Disney movie, and why? (“Under-rated” meaning movies you don’t see or hear about these days… Like, ever.)
I would say The Rescuers as you really do not hear much about this film anymore! It is such a lovely film with a huge storyline throughout. It always brings a tear to my eye!
Q12. Which Disney villain do you feel is the most misunderstood, and why?
Definitely Ursula. Why is she the way she is? Why does she have powers? Why doesn’t she like King Triton? Why does she steal voices? Why doesn’t she steal other things? Why why why?!
Q13. You can only choose ONE Disney animal to be your pet. Who do you choose, and why?
It would definitely be Figaro from Pinocchio! He has always been one of my favourite characters from a young age – he’s loyal to his family, adorable and also has a sassy side to him! Also, he is animated by Eric Larson too which is a plus!
Q14. Who is the ONE Disney character you can relate to most, and why?
For princesses, I would say Rapunzel. I know, a very modern answer from me?! I’m surprised myself but when I think of it I love to keep myself busy with 100s of things to do. When I’m not keeping myself busy, I am always looking for the next big adventure to explore!
Q15. Finally, the toughest question of all… What is your favourite Disney movie of all time, and why?
Pocahontas. This film has been mentioned way too many times in this one tag but I just cannot help it! This film is the most beautiful animated film from the studio and Glen Keane really made it what it is today! How visually pleasing is every scene in this film?! From the leaves blowing in the wind during ‘Colours of the Wind’ to the flowing waters and her hair blowing in the wind. You can really feel the sense of a loving connection between Pocahontas and John Smith.
So that’s all I have for this tag and boy, that was a hard one! Feel free to carry on the tag and send me a link – I would love to hear your responses.
