Another summer has rolled around and here goes another adventure!
Me and my friend, Glen headed off to California last week. So I thought that I would share with you guys what I usually pack for California holidays and what my essentials are!
This trip was pretty much 90% Disney, so of course I needed some Disney items in there. We went to San Francisco for all the tourist attractions and also the Walt Disney Family Museum. Then, we went back down to Los Angeles for D23 (The Official Disney Convention in Anaheim) and Disneyland!
- Travel Card
- Pen and Notepad
- Spare British money
- Tickets for attractions
- Hotel Confirmation
- Flight Confirmation/Online Check In
For our trip, planned on vlogging the majority of it, so my Samsung vlog camera is a must! This camera is so handy and I have had it for years. You can fit 1080p on it and it also has a flip screen, so you can see yourself whilst filming. (At least I know I am within shot). They don’t make this camera anymore, but I know that a great comparison that people love is the Canon G7 X. Here is a link to it on Amazon (https://amzn.to/2TiTgBT)
The second camera that I love to take is my Sony. My camera has an insane zoom on it and the quality of photos and video is outstanding. It’s just that I prefer using my Samsung for vlogging! The latest version of this camera is the Sony DSCHX60, which is available on Amazon (https://amzn.to/2VFb1If)
And what would a holiday be without my polaroids? So of course, I took Fujifilm Instax. I love the wide ones, although the camera is almost wider than my face and you have to lug it around. When you get home, you really love having the bigger photos and it’s a risk I am willing to take! The link to the Fujifilm Instax Wide 300 is here (https://amzn.to/2C7BrLj)
The other essentials
My other essentials are portable chargers. I have quite a few of these from my little Juice packs to ones from PR events like my Dirty Martini one. You never know when your battery is going to leave you hanging when you really need it. So these were CRUCIAL for our trip! The brand Anker apparently do incredible power banks, which you can find here.
Also, I ended up taking my laptop with me too, so used this to edit my vlogs as I went along the journey. I really wanted to keep on track with them so there’s less to do when I return home. By doing this, I can update you guys on where we are in real-time!
Memory cards, memory cards, memory cards! You can never have too many SD Cards on you, I use the MicroSDXC in several of my cameras and the original size also. £10.39 for a 64GB!! Bargain! (https://amzn.to/2CbSBrj)
Here’s a list of my few electronic essentials:
- SD Cards
- iPhone Charger
- Camera Charger
- Electric Toothbrush Charger
- Portable Charger
- USB Plug
- Travel Adapter – These ones that are multi-country are incredible!
- Hair Straighteners
Like I said above, our trip was mainly Disney filled. So what is better than taking Disney related clothing?!
I decided to take my Aladdin dress, a super cute Chip (from Beauty and the Beast) embroidered t-shirt and my Black Milk Mickey Glove shorties!
- Strapless Bra
- Trainer Socks/Shoe Liners
- Vest Tops
- Cardigan/Hoodie for chilly evenings
- Sports Bra
- Under Dress Shorts (so my dress doesn’t blow and reveal my butt cheeks to the world)
- Mickey Mouse Shorties from Black Milk (as seen in the photo above)
All Time Suitcase Essentials
Here I will just bullet point my whole list here as it’s much easier and to the point (no pun intended!)
- Heat Protection Spray
- Make Up
- Make Up Remover
- Shampoo/Conditioner/Shower Gel
- Small black over the shoulder bag
- Disney Lanyard with pins
- Mickey Ears
So that is all I have for this post, but look forward to some Travel posts from our actual holiday! I cannot wait to share some photos of our adventures with you all. D23, San Francisco, The Walt Disney Family Museum, Disneyland..
Have any tips for travelling? Do you roll your clothes or fold? Do you put items inside others like Babushka Dolls? Let me know!
