Review: I was so excited to read this book, that when I saw it APPROVED in my NetGalley Shelf, I was so, so, so happy!
I delved straight under my duvet and got stuck right into this book and I literally didn’t put it down, from the moment I started reading.
The book starts with a girl that has always lived within her home, never gone outside from the age of 3 months as she is prone to getting very ill from most things that are outdoors. Her body just cannot handle all of the bacteria and other substances in the air. Her home is tucked away with air tight seals and several different processes that visitors must go through to visit her So, she stays in her house, every day of her life with her mother and nurse.
Suddenly, there are new neighbours moving in next door and she spots this handsome boy around her age and she immediately falls in love with him.
But what will happen, aye? aye?
That’s where you come in and need to read the book! It is full of obstacles and achievements and will keep you hooked until you finish it.
I really, really enjoyed this book and there have been such amazing reviews for it so far. It’s a nice, easy read which I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved that this book contained Instant Messages, Diagrams, Illustrations – it just made the book have even more personality and make you connect with the characters even more.
Don’t be fooled by the description I gave, it is full of adventure, devastation and hope!
UPDATE: I feel like I really needed to come back and add into this post that this book is now being released as a movie in cinemas very soon! I cannot wait to check this out and let you all know my thoughts on the adaptation!
