What is this book about?

Alex is rebellious. She wants to stand up for her beliefs and wishes that other people would understand. She is very outspoken and goes to St Mary’s Catholic School where they do not agree with her actions. In this book, you follow Alex through many situations where she has taken a stand. You meet a variety of characters who all have different thoughts and opinions on Alex. She feels like there is no way to get through these strict rules and ways unless she takes a stand and pursues a production of The Vagina Monologues.

Here is the publishers description too:
Alex is a rebel with a purple fauxhawk and biker boots.
St Mary’s Catholic School is the strict boarding school where she’s currently trapped.
Despite trying everything she can to get expelled, she’s still stuck with the nuns, the prudish attitude and the sexism. So Alex decides to take matters into her own hands. She’s going to stage the school’s first ever production of The Vagina Monologues . .
Trouble is, no one else at St Mary’s can even bear to say the word ‘vagina’ out loud!

What did I think about Bad Habits?

I think that Bad Habits is a really great read when it comes to the issues we have today. It takes on making a stand, following your beliefs, shutting down sexism and the importance of sexual education too. A great read you should definitely pick up for 2021!
